According to the World Trade Organization, SMEs represent over 90 percent of the business population, 60-70% of employment, and 55% of GDP in almost all economies. However, technological developments are not crossing enough yet with SME representing the majority of business.
The global study, carried out by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Lenovo, found that 41% of people working in SMEs are not happy with their technology set-up in the office and feel they don’t have access to critical tools for flexible working.
According to the report, 74% of the SME employees surveyed do not have access to cloud-based tools, nor can choose technologies that are most suited to their tasks.
